Lion President Gary Porter  accompanied by Barry Cresswell, John Austin and Peter Wells attended Pelsall Methodist Church Hall recently and during the break in rehearsals of the Pelsall Musical Society  presented  them with a cheque for £500 as a contribution towards the purchase of new sound mixing and amplification equiptment for this 30+ strong membership group.

Currently  Pelsall Musical Society  are rehearsing for their February 2012 performance and a ‘Premier Performance’ in May 2012. Walsall Lions President Gary Porter will be present at these performances.

Walsall Lion President Gary Porter was most impressed to see such great spirit and talent from the youngsters who were so ably supported by the longer standing members of the society.

Walsall Lions Hit the Right Note at Pelsall Musical Society !!!!

Over 7000 ‘Message in a Bottle’ Containers now supplied and more ordered to meet demand!!!

To date Walsall Lions have donated many hundreds of pounds to the widely acclaimed ‘Message in a  Bottle’ Project enabling over 7000 ‘Message in a Bottle’ containers to be distributed for use by vulnerable persons in and around the Borough of Walsall. Recipients are then able to put details of any special medical conditions & prescriptions in this container. This container is placed in a location (such as their fridge) & a notice displayed to this effect in order that in an emergency the paramedics or other helpers can quickly find out any special information applying to the patient.

Once again Walsall Lions thank the citizens of Walsall for donating the money for this project.
